The weekend itself went perfectly, I can't say enough positive things about our coordinator, Kate, and the event staff on wedding day! I had some silly // special requests and they followed through without missing a beat. The event staff was great to work with and very responsive. 2 guests were put in the building on the opposite end from everyone else (even though they were one of the first to reserve their rooms) and another guest was not given the suites they reserved and had to squeeze a bunch of people into a fairly small room for the first night - it was mostly sorted out for the second night.

The Chalet boasts large windows that frame scenic views of the landscape around ski hill. We chose the pan-seared airline chicken breast and the grilled New York strip steak dinner options and our guests are still raving about how good it was. Everyone from valet to check in to server had excellent customer service skills. The Grand Geneva was beautiful and all of my guests felt very safe during the pandemic. Both the ceremony and reception were held here. Our reception was in the Pavillion, since we needed everything outdoors. We would do it all over again at the Grand Geneva and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. I didn't have to worry about anything.
I am also deathly allergic to bee's so for a fall, outdoor ceremony I was nervous about that situation, but the staff hit bee traps behind my arch and made sure that me and my guests were safe. The food, service, resort and people were AMAZING!!!! Guests traveling from out of town can take advantage of the resorts 609 rooms with block discounts for weddings. We were outside for the reception and that can be difficult but they handled everything perfectly.

We had to reschedule our wedding three times because of COVID and we were lucky enough to find a completely outdoor space at the Grand Geneva Resort to have our wedding. The suites for us and our families were oh-so-fancy and very clean/updated. The windows in the Evergreen Green Room made for a nice view for our guests to enjoy during dinner. It's somewhat uneasy to go in cold without seeing the end result way ahead of time, but it was perfect. I really dont have any complaints except that at the end of our reception we waited over an hour for the trolley to get us.
We found exactly what we were looking for at the Grand Resort and Spa and after a few initial meetings with their team we booked our wedding! We cant wait to celebrate our anniversary there every year. However, there were multiple leaks in the roof. to okthat is not what you will find at the Grand Geneva. We are so pleased with the Grand Geneva and cannot say enough great things. She was the opposite of helpful, incredibly unprofessional, and at times, just plain rude. Chef Nelly even made meals for our guests with special dietary preferences or needs, including a vegan gluten-free meal, gluten-free meal, & vegetarian meals. Our guests were so impressed with the food and level of service that were provided to us on our special day. Our wait staff and especially our Captain Jamie, were just awesome. My hair and makeup looked absolutely beautiful!!! Always willing to hop on the phone, meet at the resort, answer questions and provide comfort during times when covid was working against us, and never Stopped advocating for us. Not the end of the world, but something that could have been prevented. I apologize for taking so long to leave this review but better late than never. Everyone was so kind and the rooms were amazing! The chalet room has a gorgeous rustic feel and the flow in the room with the out door patio was perfect for guests to move around throughout the night. I cannot say enough good things about Grand Geneva as our wedding venue! I had my ceremony and reception at the Grand Geneva. 
The food was fantastic and everyone's dinner entree was served warm. The beauty of the Chalet is unmatched and was the perfect unique, rustic, and elegant venue that we wished for. When the pandemic hit in March, the Grand Geneva had to furlough some of its employees, including event staff when their events dwindled. The bartenders were efficient and knowledgable. We hear all the time from our guests that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. The resort is very nice as well and our guests appreciated being able to stay at the same location as the wedding. While we try our best to accommodate early check-in requests, we can not guarantee it since it's nearly impossible to determine what our availability will be as the big day approaches. Kristi Johnson is an incredible wedding planner. We also visited other local Lake Geneva venues and this would hands-down be my recommendation to anyone looking to have their wedding in Lake Geneva. Due to COVID-19, we moved our wedding to Grand Geneva less than 2 months before our date, to accommodate our larger guest list. They worked with us through every change in plans and Grand Geneva Resort made our wedding possible and very flexible to meet our needs. My family and I feel that this is not enough compensation for the issues we had. Our wedding guests were happy with everything this hotel had to offer. At one point, Kate told us that we would either have to tell guests to wear their formal attire in the car or that we could use the lockers in the spa (but our items needed to be out by 7p which was in the middle of our reception). The grounds of Grand Geneva are stunning even without decor, filled with natural scenery, so, any season would fit well here and offers a plethora of photo opportunities. Many of our guests claim it was the greatest wedding they had ever been a part of; Valerie and Michael would have to agree! We are so grateful to her and all of her hard work and efforts. THE RECEPTION: The ceremony was gorgeous (except someone was allowed to walk behind the ceremony site in photographers' view) and the reception was so much fun, but the food was different than what we had taste-tested (specifically the pasta and potato dish new chef?) Our guests had the choice of either chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting and filling or vanilla cake with bavarian cream filling and chocolate ganache frosting. ner service was done in great time. We unfortunately had to postpone our wedding as a result of Covid 19 and truly I feel so blessed with how seamless the process was, we were assigned a new coordinator due to the current climate with some event staff furloughed. However, because of Grand Geneva, we miraculously had our dream wedding. This serene destination is situated on 1,300 acres of gorgeous woodlands.
