I created a paper only blockage to give this a try before we needed it. This korky beehive plunger is easy and effective to use. A word about HET's: Toilets are officially HET's if they use 1.6 gallons of water or less per flush. The water was going down very slowly overnight, so there wasnt a complete blockage, but it was still very worrying and I didnt want to have to call a plumber, especially in a pandemic. As described on the package, it is a power plunger of unique design. It is easy to use and draws enough water out of toilet to plunge easily. So much better and nicer looking than my old (probably 50+ years) old plunger with wooden handle.
They must have slightly changed the design since the reviewer who complained about water getting sucked into the handle. yes its hollow but theres a barrier that wouldnt allow the water up. not nylon or ABS. Hmmm. There is a convenient handle to hold the plunger with the other hand, so you can get a good push on the plunger. Fits under the bathroom sink and out of sight, which is good, just under 18" tall in the stand/carrier. Further, you will not be able to insert the plunger back into the base without it again falling over. I suppose the "beehive" design was also instrumental. When testing the product, I felt that my hands were closer to the water than a standard plunger. I would not hesitate to buy this again over the cheap-o plungers I used to get. If you want a good plunger this is it! This plunger worked better than any other plunger I have tried. I decided to use it on the kitchen sink. So far, it has done its job in one shot. The JohnnyJolter looks like one of those air space guns we got to play with back in the 1960, but is a serious weapon against clogged toilet bowls. Cool idea, and supporting Vets, but not a "go" for our potties.
Some plungers come with a decorative cover or can easily be hidden in a corner or behind the tank, but that would be a challenge with this plunger.
Basically well made by good people. Then, with clean water in the toilet the plunger was basically self-cleaning by repeatedly sucking clean water in and pushing it out. The only negative thing about this plunger is that it is obviously rather large and unattractive.

Excellent plunger. This plunger seemed to work very well for the clog we had, but our toilets don't get much abuse like some families with children do, I'm sure !! I had been working for an hour last night and again this morning to clear it with an old, basic plunger that was doing nothing. I only got to try this out on older conventional water closets (round opening), but see no reason why it wouldn't seal as well on the newer shaped openings. The plunger holder included offers concealed, sanitary storage and a drip free carry. The plastic handle has a horizontal T at the end for pushing and pulling that is handy, and my other plungers do not have that feature. The rubber bottom is black, which doesnt show dirt or anything on the rubber. HET's are a great idea, but when you have to flush it 2 or 3 times to clear the bowl contents, the idea becomes questionable and the plunger becomes a necessity. This plunger worked better than any other plunger I have tried. The unique beehive shaped head creates a powerful plunge in every toilet.

The rubber cup of a red rubber cup shaped plunger often rolls inside out after each downward plunge stroke and often needs to be restored to its cup shape manually by dragging the cup against the inside of the toilet bowl before it can be used to plunge again.
The tool is made from a tough hard plastic and the end is made from a softer plastic in order to fit into the shape of the toilet bowl. I'm an experienced potty-plunger. It's light weight and with a few pumps on the handle I think I can do it myself. Per the instructions, we filled the toilet bowl with water to the bottom of the toilet bowl rim and suctioned up this water into the plunger. The thought of using the existing water and fill the plunger, and after wards cleaning it is a little scary. Finally, it was needed on the toilet.

While I was waiting one associate taught me how to properly use my auger. I have used this plunger several times now on two toilets and it was very quick and efficient in unclogging both low flow toilet bowl designs. Clogs happen. It easily unclogged the blockage and didn't make any water mess when it plunged. Just follow the simply instructions of inserting it on an angle and slowly allow it to form a seal. It unclogged toilet where other methods failed.
Handle may not last if used in constant rigorous application. It fits perfectly in the drain opening. Korky could probably offer a Bonus pack with parking-pot; I might pay a little more for that. I sucked water into the plunger, then removed and plug. A standard plunger did not correct the problem. Ours is U shaped, so no sealing fit. We go through issues every now and again because I have a very old septic system and pipes. It seemed like the first time was all it took to clear the drain completely. When a clogged toilet is on the verge of overflowing there is not always a lot of time to unclog it while having to fuss with a sometimes unreliable cup shaped toilet plunger. Just stick the end in the water and fill it up. This plunger seals better and requires almost no effort and there was no splash back. I recently installed a Kohler Memoirs Stately toilet with a keyhole drain and found that, no matter what angle I tried, my old reliable flange plunger simply would not create a tight enough seal to unclog the toilet. This product should not require an installation but in my case it did. This is versus a porous wood handle that was used on some old style red rubber cup toilet plungers that are not as easy to grip and can also host harmful bacteria, mold, etc.. The use of plungers will become more and more of a common occurence. I picked this over others available in store because of its rubber construction that definitely helped get a better seal to make plunging effective. I literally just bought this plunger at THD about 15 minutes ago--I'm already back home and the horrible clog is cleared! I havent had this long enough to review durability, but so far this is a great plunger for my preferred needs. It unclogged a toilet that 2 different plungers couldn't unclog. I have a newer water saver toilet, as do most people nowadays and it fits the Delta toilet well. Made in the USA of quality American parts which are assembled by disabled U.S. veterans. This plunger is substantial, and made with materials that look like they can survive the test of time. I was able to try this plunger out on a toile,t that seems to always get clogged and it worked great. A plunger would do it for a shirt period if time but still drain slow. We had the inexpensive, nice looking plunger that fell apart (split) and had to replace. I would prefer a red color like my other plungers, or any color that would show a substance on the rubber so that I could be aware of it and clean it off.

They pulled the ladder down the aisle and restocked from the steel shelves. I got this Korky a couple weeks ago. The side handle is very sturdy and will make it easy to hang up this plunger on our garage wall when not in use. This is one toilet unclogger that really packs a punch and does exactly as it states. Simply place the nozzle into the bowl water and draw back the handle to fill the plunger, move the nozzle into the bottom of the bowl to create a seal, then push down on the plunger to force a jet of water against the blockage. Fun fact, you cannot return a plunger in CA. Figured that we should get one that was more robust so we got this and it really did the job. That moratorium has now ended, as I've found a marvelous product that turns one of the worst bathroom nightmares into "no big deal". Holder offers concealed, sanitary storage and a drip free carry. Note: we kept the brush and station that came with our original decorator styled brush and plunger combo. One of my toilets is sometimes problematic so I got to use this plunger on it and it worked better than my old one. I had no idea there was a unit available like this until I saw it on HD site.

I bought this one and tossed my old traditional style plunger since all of our toilets are now HET. I am definitely keeping this as a back up, but still using the plunger first. I tested the seal on my tub and kitchen sink drains too, and it was just as excellent on them! Bought one, used it as directed & the problem was FLUSHED!
