The Mega cab designation will not matter on the tailgate assist fitment. Review the instructions for DZ43102 to see the mounting locations. There is no way to adjust the shocks pressure. I held the hex key still and turned the nut with a wrench as instructed, but the insert was turning as well and threaded off the bolt. Not sure what vehicle application you are looking for. DZ43200 will fit a 2004-2014 F150 standard bed. Carefully pry up and the spring clip will expand enough for the shock to come off. It does work on the tailgates with the step. Carefully pry the metal clip up and it will release the head of the shock from the ball mount. Not sure what the issue is, but you can contact customer service for assistance.

What has happened is the nutsert has not expanded enough that the threads are not close enough to the hole. We do not have a tailgate assist for the frontier. As you begin the checking out it will calculate that for you.
