Well it is an aroma highlighted by a bouquet of fragrant woody, aromatic and green scented tones that will bring a calming, natural and exotic perfumed sensation. It is a beautiful woody scent!
My roommate had it, and I loved it. It compelled you to lean closer for a good inhale. Then Wonderwood appeared and a part of my loss was recovered. My bottle is batchcode 0390, Sept 2000 is the date I put on it. This was one of those now rare fragrances I would call "magnetic". Voluptuous, philosophical, frank, magical. This actually smells a lot like Nag Champa incense. that was one of my most favourite fragrances. I regret that I didn't purchase a bigger bottle or any extra at time because it is now discontinued and if I find one, it's ridiculously expensive! All my girlfirend in highschool had Gucci Rush around 10th grade 2003- 2004. I love this so much, it almost causes physical pain. Most suitable occasion to wear it is for daytime wear. I have been out of these for almost three years now so I can't really tell you how it smells but its impression. Shame on you Gucci for taking away all these great scents and insulting us with the current crap. For those of you not familiar with that think of cedar and sandalwood combined with musk and lavender. 
Every time I wear it get tons of compliments. What a find! Ages 26-55 is the audience group that mostly wears this fragrance. VanMarlton .. It was a sad loss. Also keep in mind seasonal factors including temperature and humidity they all influence the outcome and perception to everyone's nose and level of sensitivity in an individual way. I'm in love. All of it just synthetic inferior scents. I had the chance to try Gucci Rush For Men last week from a 50 ml. Even at 50% does not smell like Gucci Rush. A beautiful fragrance. knows the man decided, clean. I remember it being way too musky and spicey and manly in a bad way. Gucci's version of Gucci Rush is now in stock with prices ranging from $65.38 to $99.24 based on 2+ offers. It does not smell pleasant, it smells of an old air freshener that you have had locked away for 20 years+! So many better cypress cedar options. I used it a few times to see if it would grow on me, but gave up on it. If Gucci Rush seems like a pleasant smell for your taste or maybe special occasion then the best is to aromatize yourself and give it a try! Very stylish and elegant a sexy fragrance if you want to make an good impression, i get many compliments and a few people even questioned as to what was the wonderful aroma. Rush is a zesty woodsy scent that can be easily worn casualy in the daytime. Intimate and classy if not a tad wispy. Shame it's discontinued. Never find right supplement. I still mourn your death everyday. Similar (almost identical) with VISIT, but the Azzaro is a masterpiece in front of Rush. Gucci Rush is a kind of fragrance that differs from the others on the market (at least until it was released). What if someone smelled and said they didn't like it, or worse, meh? I do have a bottle and have been trying to find a comparable replacement since the few remaining bottles on ebay are way over priced. Cheap and nasty, just like the bottle: already in the shops the white metal parts would spontaneously come off. but it s a discontinued, right?? My then boyfriend (now fragrance obsessed hubby) did not use fragrance at all. A waste of money, stay away! It's been sitting there all unloved. I love Gucci rush it is sexy, sultry and really awesome. I can't give it anything but thumbs down because it's already gone. Rush, along with Envy, Nobile, and Pour Homme 1 were 4 of the greatest fragrances ever made for men and they all came from Gucci. is a kind of milky sandalwood musk. It's almost perfect9.5/10. The opening is one of the sexiest openings I have ever come across and is by far my favorite of all of my fragrances! Peace. I got this as a gift from my grand dad back in high school and i fell in love with it since then. love this.. it's a shame that it's discontinued. The long trail is composed of patchouli, sandalwood, white musk. The good reviews on this thread are valid. The comparisons to Azzaro Visit are somewhat accurate but Visit is a better fragrance with more discernable notes and MUCH better perfomance. There are many other frags that are of equal quality and in the same fragrance segment. Gucci Rush was an awesome fragrance that was sadly discontinued. Have you ever remember your first love? According to the designers idea, Gucci Rush is free, direct, instinctive, penetrative and certainly modern, simple, precize and spontaneous. Gucci Rush is a modern, oriental fragrance with the accords of exotic trees. These bottles (and remember, we have two) go for upwards of $500 each!!!! dont hesitate a try it, until it s available. Unfortunately it is long gone. I loved it on them and was constantly surounded by it that I decided to get Gucci rush for men. I just grabbed yesterday a 100ml bottle of this magnificent fragrance, for about 100 USD.
After reading all the reviews I only wish I had bought this when it was around. I usually do not buy imitations but because it was Rush I just had to.. Love it! Simple and straightforward it seems. Im actually getting decent performance from Rush, similar to other Gucci frags from TF era. do not know where to start to describe it. The sweet lavender freshness quickly transforms into the spicy-woody heart of the composition with sandalwood, cedar, incense, Okouma tree. I do still have a full 50ml bottle of it. Unfortunately, I already own Wonderwood so this is a bit redundant for me. Dark, enigmatic, and a wholly masculine cedar composition.. A very good attempt before the infamous P&G era. It's like an aphrodisiac for mankind, and it's great for date and party/club scene. This fragrance is much more sweet and relaxing. It is my husband's signatured scent. I bought this when it first came out. For me, all about the sandalwood and a light elegant musk.
This may sound crazybut I smell the DNA of Tom Fords Tuscan Leather in it, its the smoky musk part..i have had this experience with TF fragrances a few times.Anyway, I have Sartoriale, and Trend Lui by Les Copains. On top of that it had great longevity and sillage. A lighter, airier, and softer Wonderwood. Rush does smell like something that was released in the year "2000" but It was very modern for it's time.. A nice innofensive scent, but with no doubd,worst Gucci scent ever made as sillage (inexistent!) Gucci Rush is amazing, fresh and sweetly spicy thin, a majestic wooden stands between all its components and cascade spices in a soft gentle mist of September, has not the strength of the classics in terms of persistence and persuasive but never cloying, also gives a smoky trail of something that makes it even more chic.In this fragrance Gucci revives the splendor of its past, Rush is pure class I think it can also be worn by youngsters this fragrance reminds me of Krizia Time Rush but is much more good, and call it even savage, I love the name, by the sense of something fast and futuristic that leads me to imagine a race of galactic spacecraft around the rings of Saturn. How could such a great fragrance be NOWHERE to find??? , My signature scent for quite a while. A very clean fragrance. This one seems to benefit from body heat. It opens somewhat fresh with the cypress and than turns into a warmer, darker, and more sensual scent.. I just scored a 50ml bottle.
On me, I get the sandalwood, but also lots of spice notes and a sweetness that makes it absolutely gender-neutral. It is hard to believe years ago this sold at Wal Mart for less than $25--a gem. the sexiest scent ever made?? What a chic woody modern cedar/sandalwood cologne. Its as good as any of his private blends. If there was one thing I found disappointing about RUSH is that they tried to be too clever with the bottling. I believe they both contain lac-tones that give them somewhat of a milky vibe.. find one last gucci rush bottle to a store and i bought it with discount. The closest I have found is Pal Zileri Sartoriale and Wonderwood by Comme des Garons but nothing is like this. One of the miniatures was a partial bottle of this Rush for men. This smell to me fantastic (i hadnt known about fragrances then and the notes of them). Makes no sense! Fragrance Gucci Rush cologne for Men by Gucci was released in 2000. Discontinued with Envy toegether. Of course he thinks I'm nuts, but what else is new? I am also at a loss as to why my comments are still being deleted when all I am trying to do is help? Very stupid decision. Sits closer to the skin, but longevity is beyond 14 hours on a warm day radiating superb wood-tones really beautiful. Honesty I've had Rush, sartorial, and trend at the same time, Trend by Les Copains is hands down the closest, so much so that (because rush and trend are pretty fleeting in strength) I would douse myself with the two and it was almost seamlessafter giving in to the hype and seeking out all the Guccis from my youth I excorsised some fragrance demons and I'm glad I did because none accept GPH lived up to my memories of them. He continuously makes multiple fake profiles on fragrantica to skew everything in his favor and bully people.. You will find some of his fake reviews here and on a few other pages.. You are definately right, there is very little projection, sillage, or longevity.. It was realy fantastic scent..woody, clean and powdery.. I wanted to buy it but my mum said me that was too expensive so not.
The incense is there but low key.. That was a friendship faux pas. Something to think about??? I loved the fragrance. This way you will know first-hand if you like it and even how long it lasts before making a decision. A lot of the people compared this to encre but not for me. How long does Gucci Rush last? Juniper is kinda there, but not impressed. I hope that Gucci will one day resurrect Rush from the dead along with the other classic Gucci fragrances.. Gucci Rush has become one of my all time favorite fragrances! Who "deserves" to smell it? This is a scent that is light enough where it is similar in STRENGTH to Molecule 01. Where is frankincense in pyramide?
Its longevity is described as moderate with a lasting power of 3-6 hours. That was followed by a period of snide comments about my wanting to smell like him. This one will last a long time bc Ill use it sporadically haha. Gucci Rush for Men is very sexy spicy spices and yet sweet and pungent scent. I love it. I am hoping one day Gucci will relaunch it just like Versace did with Versus for Woman. Let me assure you it was not. Gucci told me they discontinued it because of one of the wood product was getting harder and harder to get (sandal?). Let me tell you, TREND is by FAR closer than Sartoriale..so close I almost got bummed out I bought Rush, but this last only for the first 15 seconds. 
It's very aromatic that leaves a wonderful scent trail for others give you some attention. A find I never would have expected.. I feel strongly frankincense.
Santal Blush - Tom Ford?? Up to this day I haven't found any niche, let alone mainstream product that resembles this. It is a travesty that Rush was discontinued to produce inferior fragrances.. If it cost me a friendship, so be it. The more perfume reviews you read on Gucci Gucci Rush from different people and especially experts who have the nose the better prepared for making your choice. Truth is, life will never be the same without it. It embodies confidence and absolute class. I didn't care though, it smelled THAT good. Awesome fragrance in all respects! The bottle is clever. Epicene Gamma IFF: The Common Part of Spicy Men's Colognes of the 1980s. There is a soft plastic flask where the fragrance resides, surrounded by a hard plastic cage accented by metal sides. I wasn't fussed on the first spray, but once it dried down pepper and musks!
