This festival was created in 1984 and is now becoming very popular. Every year on January 20th, the quintos of Pedrezuela celebrate the passage from child to adult. The procession of the encounter of Mstoles puts the finishing touch to the Easter Holliday of the community of Madrid. On previous celebrations, big names like Sabaton and Slipknot performed in front of over 100,000 people. On Holy Thursday, the town of Morata de Tajua represents the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus since 1987. The latter is jam-packed with one of the most important summer festivals in town. At the end of the year, Christmas is coming and it is time to come by Buitrago del Lozoya, who celebrates its live Nativity play since 1988 and will interpret different scenes thanks to the more than 200 volunteers who are part of the party. For one night a year, the city of Madrid stays up all night and dedicates itself to culture: literature, art, cinema, theatre, dance and more. This is Madrid's biggest fiesta and traditionally starts on the Friday before the 15th and continues for nine days. Madrid's summer arts festival runs from June to September and involves over a hundred shows. It is held every Saturday on the second weekend of September. Whereas the festival grounds are located near Madrids riverside area, the whole city celebrates with live concerts in several different squares, parades, events. Finally, to conclude the easter week and celebrate Resurection Sunday, on a morning full of rhythmic percussion, we are moved to the Plaza Mayor of Madrid, from where a route begins in which numerous members are accompanied by drums and bass drums act as a soundtrack to the commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
