The Grand Bahia Principe Tulum offers a total of 978 rooms in an all-inclusive atmosphere in beautiful Mexico. The rooms were exquisite, the Hotel Gorgeous, the Food amazing, the service supreme, so it is a must-go place, the organization and all the time spent there was excellent !!! Not user-friendly and confusing why this was the system because when we went to these, they were not filled to capacity at all. The Bahia Principe does the exact opposite. They have really improved this facility. Later in the week, we discovered that there is one "back room" behind the buffet during breakfast that has some AC. The food in the buffet restaurant was mostly well done, you could always find something good in spite of a few "misses" that could hardly be avoided in such a large scale operation. They were amazing and completed a deep tissue sports massage for my husband and I! Celebrate all night at one of the resorts nearby clubs, bars & festivals. The positives: The grounds were beautiful and the lizards running around gave it a unique "Mexico-feeling ambiance." 
Our babysitter service allows everyone to enjoy paradise to the fullest. The food in the buffet was pretty high quality for a buffet, but after a few days we noticed that the offerings did not change much. Halfway through our stay, we finally had a fridge that wasn't room temperature, but getting these repairs done was so slow and annoying, we never even got to tell them about the TV or the leaking tub. The system for taking luggage and guests to their rooms was a clown-show that had all guests puzzled and losing their patience. Its amazing! The culture they create at Bahia is impersonal, unfriendly, impatient and just lacking professional communication overall. There is a lot of seaweed. The Lunch Cafe (called, The Truck) was okay, but lacked variety. I just want to Thanks Eduardo H, that is last name with an H, from the Entertainment group always came by us to join in on the fun entertainment from day time volley ball a games to Night time activity. We hope to have the opportunity to change your perception in the future as we believe you will enjoy our services. At my wife won at bingo, lol. Another observation not a plus or a minus necessarily: Very few guests were from the U.S.. We had paid for at least getting into some different dining locations and we had to eat in the buffet every dinner. The resort is huge hence they have a shuttle service which was very welcoming in that heat and humidity! They seem to be well-staffed and the staff are so great with the kids. They never replaced the cups the rest of the day. Transport around the hotel is almost a lottery to use in 14 days of stopping we have been fortunate to use it 3 times even when pushing a new born in his push chair. We felt amazing after! You had to figure it out yourself: activities for us, entertainment schedules, guest services available, how and when to use the Trolley-Tram, dinner menus, you name it. I've done resorts in Cancun and Caribbean cruises and the vibe is supposed to be MORE FRIENDLY and MORE FUN than what these guys cultivate.

Theres not much air conditioning around except in your room and the shops so dining can be a little sweaty. There are lots of activities throughout the day, especially if you are sporty. Stay on land or jump into the water and discover the sea in an entirely new way as you learn how to sail a catamaran, take out kayaks for a spin, or have a relaxing afternoon on our fishing trips. Our first day was basically wasted. for teens though just a room with games machines that are not in use our teen Grandsons were bored. We would love to see the Mexican Fiesta return as it was such a special night. This was a daily event. Amenities either not available or machines broken. The staff there are very attentive and, although it is self-serve, they always offer to get drinks for you and collect your food. The beach side snack restaurant was an amazing buffet for those who didn't wish to get out of their bathing suits.
