We enjoyed our wedding day immensely, but no thanks to the staff! To get pictures of the mountain range! It did not. If you are looking for a venue that is not only a great deal (this one includes SO much for a great price!) I would also recomend getting ready in a cabin and bring extension cords. It was affordable wedding venue and it was als Beautiful location and great setup. Take. We hope you and Clayton come back for visit! She was entirely uninvolved in every aspect. The only ladder available was an extension ladder.

When I sent them the invoice after my wedding to point out that they had ordered me the wrong tablecloths and that I expected to be reimbursed they refused. When you want to get all your ducks in a row, thats a little unsettling to have to wait so close to the date but you dont have to worry about someone else running a rehearsal the morning or afternoon of your own booking. There were items missing, broken and left outside. ~Ashley. Stone Mtn. Host your event with us May through October. My family was trying to book rooms there and would leave messages without them getting back to them. We did have a p We look forward to seeing you two back! My husband and I are big outdoors people and our ceremony was in RMNP so it really fit the whole vibe perfectly. I appreciated how they embraced our not-so traditional ideas for the wedding and helped us put them into action. We easily fit 100 people in and my friend was able to do 140 at hers here. The venue was beautiful and they did everything they could to make our dream wedding come true.

tel rooms/ cabins. So nice to have fresh air and natural light while getting ready. Everyone loved it, and working with Ashley was a breeze. There is wireless internet but its a tad slow. Thank you so much for your review. commodation options were awesome for all of our out of town guests! Because they dont have a lot of people staying there outside of weddings, their office hours for phone calling is a bit more limited. On the day of my wedding the girl who was supposed to be available for questions and to help us get everything set up had a family emergency and left the property. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the location is stunning!

I look forward to running into you in the future. No one returns emails or phone calls. All around everything turned out well for a great wedding day for us here. Carrie was fantastic to work with from beginning to end. Ceremony and reception are in the same place, with a separate area for cocktail hour. Update 07/01/2016 The day after our wedding, our credit card was charged for 3 extra rooms.

We did just that, and then received an email a few days later saying we would not get our security deposit back because of this.

It is a beautiful location, there is lodging on sight, and it seems perfect for the outdoor wedding I was looking for. The cabins are definitly rustic, but I enjoy that type of feel. The venue is beautiful with nice/comfy lodging on site. Thank you for the review Malorie! Thanks again for making our wedding day the best it could be! In a word, Incompitent. No problems at all with our day, and in fact it was perfect :). We highly recommend Stone Mountain Lodge to anyone who is looking for a wedding venue in the foothills. Our wedding is scheduled for August, 2016 and we were really excited to have our wedding there. We should have asked more questions before we signed a contract. Everyone was very helpful & made sure every detail was taken care of when needed. I love to help couples get the most out of our space and their day. Thanks for a great review! My family ended staying elsewhere. The setting is beautiful, the trailhead for photos is such a sweet escape to just be with your new husband for a moment of quiet, and the separate spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception make the whole venue feel very grand. This venue is a dream come true! You can have every part of the wedding here so it makes the day easy. We worked with Ashley who is just wonderful! This venue was just what we were looking for. You can tell that they very much enjoy what they do, and really know what they are doing.

Such an amazing venue! Theres a ton of ways to make this place a budget friendly venue or an everything-you-ever-wanted-that-money-can-buy venue. There was liquor left behind outdoors along with mess along the property. The rooms need some updating but that really wasn't on my big list of priorities for my wedding day. I highly recommend Stone Mountain Lodge!!!!

The only time I get a response is when the event planner needs something and if I try asking her anything other than then what she has for me she ignores me and doesn't respond whatsoever. Thank you for your response. While the venue itself is very nice, the staff is far f Hi Saydee, while we always strive to be transparent and clear in our communication, it is apparent that we fell short. Again, not 5 stars but the convenience of having rooms on location so no one has to drive after drinking is far more important to me than room service or an on-site gym (there is a pool however). Many of our friends chose to stay at the venue and enjoyed it. We feel so fortunate to be working with Stone Mountain Lodge and cannot wait to have our favorite 100 people enjoy our special day there next summer. Thank you and Mike for hosting at SML!! The bathtub in one of the cabins had some issues with not immediately draining, which presented me with an interesting situation while I was dying my hair black (didnt want to stain my toes or feet) but overall it was a minor thing.

Service, such as answering questions and communication was really good until two months before th our wedding was great here, and we heard so many people say how much they loved it at SML! We could rent sound systems, lighting systems, extra tents, and more. The communication leading up to the day was great and any questions or issues we had were answered immediately. ~Ashley. I finally gave up, they gave me one room for free as penance. She put so much though and effort into making our day run seamlessl Jessica! The accommodations are fairly modest, but some of the cabins are just adorable. We pre paid for all of the rooms for our guests to reserve and then pay the property direcly at check in and we would be reimbursed. Working with the Stone Mountain team was easy and they were all very helpful. Thank you Courtney! Thank you Jen! This is when she told me that we did not have to hire an event planner because herself and her staff would be available the day of our wedding, and their event coordinator would be there through the ceremony to make sure everything ran smoothly. . She did, but she only replaced maybe 2/3 of the length of string lights we purchased. We had our fall outdoor wedding at Stone Mountain this October. I would recommend Stone Mountain, but ONLY after asking all of hte important questions, reading the FINE PRINT on the contracts, and keeping as much open communication between the staff and yourself as possible in order to avoid disappointments. That's my favorite part of the gig! It really has so much to offer. -Ashley. Stone Mountain lodge fits all of that perfectly! Nestled cozily in the mountainside, this venue offers the perfect touch of nature and was just what we dreamed of for our special day. Its the most beautiful spot to get married, and we are so happy with our decision to have our wedding at Stone Mountain Lodge. I'm so glad to hear about your positive experience and I wish you and Josh the best! Warmly, Ashley. We were also able to rent out all of the cabins and lodges the night of our wedding, which was convenient for our guests to have a place to stay after the reception. Ashley at Stone Mountain Lodge helped us make the event everything we dreamed of and more. They informed us that the pool was NOT filled and that it would not be filled by the time we got up there for our weekend stay and our wedding. They double booked our cabin for the night before the wedding to another wedding party. We also had to store all the bouquets in a different cabin which then the key didn't work to open that they gave us before the ceremony and we didn't get to use any of the flower bouquets.

We didnt have to set them up or take them down and they looked great! P.S. Back. At the time, only 2 of the cabins were booked, I asked if they could be asked to move to the rooms on premise but they absolutely refused. Congrats! Previous to the wedding, they told me I could have flower petals on my aisle and told me to clean them up the best I could after the ceremony. he was gone and no one ever called to let me know the switch in management. We had restaurant friends who offered their help. Luckily, the officiant I hired was able to move our ceremony along with no problem, but if I had relied on Stone Mountain as they said I could, I don't know how it would have turned out. The following morning, our decorations were in shambles. The overlook where they take you for pictures is gorgeous, and my dog (and best friend/fur baby) was able to be a part of the ceremony, which was important to me. Overall we had a great wedding and the site itself is beautiful and reasonably priced.

Then finally me walking on the big day! Although there were MANY headaches that put a damper on many of our festivities, Stone Mountain was a Beautiful place to have our wedding - having everybody around to spend a couple of days celebrating, instead of coming to a venue and leaving after the ceremony (and after drinking), was a wonderful way to do it.

They clearly did not want to take the lights down. It was nothing like the website it was like staying at a motel.

because the venue allows outside caterers.

When looking for our perfect venue for our wedding, we wanted something that really spoke to both my husband and I. I was looking for romantic, natural, and something that gave that Colorado mountain feel. Come back and see us for an anniversary or two! The staff was friendly and flexible.

Ashley was Accommodating at every step, and provided us with key venue insights to make sure our plans wedding took full advantage of the location. From the start, Casey went above and beyond our expectations. Guests can feed the ducks and play games during cocktail hour while youre taking romantic portraits on our private trail. I recommend everyone checks them out! We knew we were taking a risk having an outdoor wedding in October, but Carrie set our mind at ease when we talked about an alternative plan, which luckily we didn't have to use. Every staff member was accommodating and kind. Oh, and to top it off you pay for 5 star rooms and you get 1 star rooms. It was truly a pleasure to be there and a very memorable wedding for us. Our wedding was a dream come true. Convenient again was the ability to rent linens directly from them. For some of the children, those might have been decent alternatives, but we also had a few toddlers who would NOT have been able to utilize those. The bridal party even had a super private tent to get ready in! I wasnt in the lodge rooms myself but some of my friends were and when I poked my head it, it seems cozy. I got the beautiful mountain wedding I always wanted and got to have most by guests stay the night with us in their cabins and hotel! No matter how many times I explained it was not my fault that they set me up with the wrong package, they just continued to fight me. Disaster & disappointment leading up to my wedding day, will not alter my review until they own up to their promises. I booked this venue last year in 2015 when it was under different management. The grounds were gorgeous.

Everyone was so accomm Noelle! Our expectations were exceeded and we could not be more happy with our choice of venue and the staff at Stone Mountain Lodge. Thanks Caitlin! The property is beautiful and very well taken care of. I never had to worry about a thing because Ashley took care of everything and made sure we started on time.

We enjoyed helping you and Larry pull details together and we loved your group :). Our guests were happy and had a great time eating tacos and dancing! Thank you for an awesome review. If you wanted, you could rent an Oskar Blues bus, again making sure all your guests are safe and happy. They fought me tooth and nail, refusing to help me, telling me the rooms were already booked and it was too late. Not much less than $5000 is a little much for just renting the place for a day and that little bit of set up. I'm so glad to hear how much you enjoyed the venue and our service.

I didnt notice their mistake until about 8 months from my wedding but thought, Oh eight months out should be more than enough time to remedy the situation since this was their fault to begin with. Boy was I wrong.

Carrie promised to purchase new lights and mail them to us. The venue itself was beautiful and set up just as we had planned. ower outage (not their fault), and they went above and beyond to help keep the party moving until the city could get the power back on. I've called and emailed trying to give them money to make sure we still have our reservation and they still won't respond. The venue was beautiful and the experience was amazing. Just. Plus they were able to recommend great vendors which facilitated the process and relieved a lot of stress. You wont be disappointed! On-site lodging! I have heard some of my guests say it was the best wedding they have been to and have heard only positive comments from friends and families. The scenery is gorgeous and pictures do not do it justice! HIGHLY recommend! I would advise any bride and groom to choose another venue, you'd be better off having a ceremony at a motel 8. hough she's not a "wedding planner," Ashley helped us out so much from making decisions about the tables to our rehearsal to day-of decisionsshe was flexible, efficient, smart, and had a great attitude.

These guys were wonderful! The cleanup guy stole some of our left over trays from the cater and they are not very good at directing guests like they told us they would when we had our walk through. Because they give out the venue to couples for an entire day, you cant book your rehearsal date until less than a month from your wedding. Stone Mountain Lodge is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountain National Park. but also great to work with, Stone Mountain Lodge is perfect. The staff was great, the place is beautiful and it's really affordable, especailly considering you get it for the We had about 100-130 people coming to our wedding, many from out of town, and we wanted to provide them with a place to stay that was close to the wedding. Im so looking forward to having this spot to visit on anniversaries or just fun weekend get always! I really felt like I was able to make this wedding just how I wanted it: no frills, just a beautiful celebration in a beautiful place with great people and food and drinks. Our cabin, 18, was the music themed cabin and was perfect for our first night together as husband and wife. I expected better. They have the prettiest and intimate setting for your ceremony, down to the cocktail hour in the lawn, and reception tent with cafe lights. I would recommend booking all the lodge rooms and cabins for a good sized wedding as we did, as you will get all the privacy you could want. Could you please tell us the date of your event and contact us at events@stonemountainlodge.com so we can resolve your concerns. a few of their bridal events where we were able to meet and hire both our caterer and florist. Thank you for making our dream wedding a reality. Hope to see you and HK on another anniversary down the line! We found it to be a great value for our money. We really wanted a back yard feel and that is exactly what we got. My husband and I got married here in September and reserved all 6 cabins, as well as a good number of the rooms. You and Eric were such a joy to work with, and I'm so happy to hear everything went as you wanted! We paid $200 for two hours of clean up time (I am told we were the first and last wedding to be offered this service). Shout out to Casey for making our day better than we could have imagined! It was true that our Event Designer did have a family emergency in which she was the only person that her family member could get to and she needed to go to the hospital in which resulted in a death that day. Separate garden area for cocktail hour and the bar! I am livid, how long were they going to wait to break the news? I hung up the phone hysterically crying, how could someone be so cold? help us with future clients. I would definitely recommend this place to others! My dress zipper broke and Ashely was there helping smooth over the delay!! We did offer and let you have a free rehearsal the night before and there were staff members on site, as always, to close down the event at midnight according to contract that was signed and put in multiple places in the contract. All the while they are kicking us out of the room we were under the impression we had for the full day while we are trying to get ready. The venue was perfect for the style of wedding my husband and I wanted and for our personalities. Our wedding day turned out absolutely incredible and Stone Mountain Lodge was the perfect choice for our laid-back style. staff members took over and everything still went very smoothly. We highly recommend them! Delicate items were thrown into trash bags and left on the floor. It has now been 2 weeks since our wedding and both my mom and I have been trying to call them to discuss this situation and they will not answer or return our messages. At the end of the reception, the one staff member that was on site to close the tent up told my sister that although contractually we were supposed to have our stuff out of the tent by midnight, we could drive our cars down to the tent in the morning to pack up boxes of decorations, as long as it was before 9am. No accommodations for the amount of guests we specifically told them. Please stere clear of Stone Mountain Lodge, the price and location may be tempting, but I can promise you that dealing with the incompitent staff is not worth it. Thanks to Erika (our coordinator) for her professional and prompt attention before, during, and after the event. usiness had been sold and was under different management.

We booked the entire venue for our 9/9/17 wedding.

In fact, she gave away the date I requested for a walk through and so now I have to take off more time for work to do this on another day. Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be thanks to Ashley and her team! We got to have ceremony/reception/lodging for everyone in the same place. A little disappointed but thanks to the beautiful grounds and weather the wedding was perfect. It was a pleasure to work with you and Judd and see everything come together. You really dont need to decorate much since the property is so gorgeous. Overall the venue was just gorgeous. She set up all of the ceremony chairs by herself. cabin was dirty and had brown water coming out of the faucets and a very unplesant smell. We had to keep revieing this with them about 5 different times as they kept telling our guests all the rooms were already taken care of.

I wouldn't change anything about working with Stone Mountain. Putting our minds at ease and answering all my questions in a timely manner. This is the worst experience I have ever had and it just about ruined my wedding day. If you're looking for a stunning setting, great people/staff, and an affordable venue for your wedding, I would HIGHLY recommend Stone Mountain. Im pretty sure all the damage has been repaired by now and the grounds are a picturesque setting for a ceremony and reception. They did however inform us that we could use their "slip n' slide" that they had purchased in leiu of a dip in the pool, or that we could take the children tubing down the river that was right across the street. whole day. When I asked Stone Mtn. rom it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful as well. Never, ever would I suggest this garbage establishment to anyone, not even my worst enemy. We could tell from the start that she loves what she does and would work hard to make our vision a reality (and she did!). Get Our Wedding Planner App On Your Mobile Device. At this point, it became harder to get ahold of anyone in the office. It's located in the foothills with gorgous views at a low cost. I could go on about the headache this caused, but there is more to tell.

Yes, its a little out of the way and yes, if you look at reviews from a year ago, some of their facilities used to be damaged by the devastating Lyons flood BUT none of that was p Amazing! Everything from the staff to the views are absolutely beautiful! Our wedding party had an amazing time staying in the cabins. Congrats! There was also no one in sight at th entire property for the entire wedding and no one even checked in with us when we arrived or went over anything with us or gave us any contact if we needed something. The handling of our financials was frustrating.

STM offered a payment plan, which not a lot of places do, which we spread out over 8 months to make our dream wedding possible and more affordable.

Ashley helped us every step of the way. It was a really special day to help with and you are Eric were so fun and kind! This venue itself is gorgeous. We had so much fun being a part of your wedding day. The whole staff is wonderful and the property is gorgeous and very well kept and we couldn't imagine our day anywhere else! We attended We recently had our wedding at Stone Mountain Lodge and we couldn't have asked for a better day! I'm so glad to hear that it was such a beautiful day for you and I truly enjoyed playing a role. If there were any questions I had, she would quickly get back with me. It was an honor to host you, your families, and friends. We had the venue for the entire day (big plus) from 11am to technically 11pm (but essentially they let us party until midnight). Thank you Megan! Warmly, Ashley. We loved your day and laid-back style. And our guests totally loved the cocktail area. The cabins are clean, well heated, and creatively decorated. The bridal tent was nice and it does have an air conditioner. When it became crunch time, it was as if no one worked there, which made my stress as a bride very high. They allow a big range of vendors (they do have a list otherwise there is a small fee to bring someone new in). to address the discrepancies, they argued back and forth with me for 3 days. staff did contact you and your mother back in regards to the damages that the property received as well as left messages and emails; however, would no longer be verbally abused. ~Ashley. All in all, a beautiful and convenient place but they really need some help in the service area. This place is truly amazing!

All of the rooms were clean and I think my out of state family enjoyed a little taste of the mountains. I sent them confirmation emails and credit card statements until they begrudgingly issued me one refund and told me to dispute the rest with our credit card company. No service for anyone. All my guests had a lovely time. I'm glad you had such a fantastic wedding. We discovered the reason they were avoiding our calls and emails. To me the venue was perfect. y - she put together a day-of timeline for us, made multiple different layouts for the venue when I changed my mind every couple days, was proactive in planning things I never thought of, coordinated layouts and timelines with other vendors, and was just so awesome to work with throughout the whole process. Scenic Ceremony location: mountains, pond, trees! ~Ashley. Easy Front-range mountain location convenient to Boulder, Denver and Estes Park. We had a beautiful day at Stone Mountain Lodge.

They didnt seem to be on the same page with this policy. They offered no assistance in finding new accommodations or consolation, not even an apology. few of our guests rooms and left the remaining balance to be paid at check-in.

Thank you for the review Melissa! e wedding. We loved that they had hotel rooms and cabins for all our friends and family to stay at the night before and night of our wedding, it made it that mu Roxy + John! Last year, I chose Stone Mountain Lodge as the venue for my wedding. We just happened to pass by Stone Mountain Lodge and noticed how beautiful the property was. helping plan and execute every detail of our big day! The day before we were to be up there, my mom calld to make sure the pool had been filled (they had assured us a month before that it would be). Eventually, my now husband and I drove there to sit down with Carrie and get all my questions answered. The "event staff" were unprofessional. The third was a charge for a room we never booked. Everything was peaceful and perfect for a more relaxed and informal wedding. This venue features stunning views and convenient onsite accommodations for guests. Victoria, it is so nice to hear that you were happy with your venue choice! If youre the sort of person who wants 5 star hotel amenities (like room service), maybe you should look elsewhere but if you like log cabins, theyre really nice. We loved being involved with your big day and we are so glad to hear that we met your expectations. always goes wrong the day of the wedding." Highly recommend. I booked Stone Mountain for my wedding, and everything was going well until the event planner/manager I booked with left for another job. ch more special. Thank you so much, Ashley, for making our day so special. We are in the process of securing other accommodations. LOVED IT!!!!!! p.s , love the photos of your day, they're gorgeous.

I actually don't even know if the wedding is going to happen at this point because they haven't even received the final payment. The person handling the books wouldnt take responsibility for these mistakes and mostly just placed blame on us. She was giving tours of the grounds to potential clients. We have been so impressed with Stone Mountain Lodge throughout our wedding planning process. It was a pleasure to help with your day. istently misspelled my husbands name and even misspelled it on the blackboard that was out by the road despite us correcting them in the past. The day of the wedding, I come to find out she ordered the WRONG COLOR TABELCLOTHS. resent or an issue for us. She was not present during our ceremony rehearsal, which made her attempt at directing the ceremony procession inadequate. Our wedding at Stone Mountain Lodge was truly perfect. Thank you again Ashley for all you did for us! She was helpful/organized/professional and made sure our big day went smoothly. I would call multiple times a day and get no answer and I was lucky to get a call back in a day or two after leaving a message. All the best to you two! I had to travel one hour and walk into their office in order to get my questions answered. - Ashley. It was a one-stop shop and that was awesome. Also, the bridal tent was a great perk and we had so much fun getting ready! We are genuinely sorry that your experience caused such stress for you. She was flexible and very communicative throughout the process. She has a very laid back but fun personality and just being around her made me feel at ease.

Thus far new management has been terrible. During the wedding our room was not ready prior to the wedding as promised so we had to each get ready in other people's rooms which was chaotic and awkward. help from getting all my paperwork done to my walk through to rehearsal! I enjoyed the casual yet elegant effect of the stone mountain lodge.

This place was perfect and exactly what we were looking for!

It means so much to hear this and I look forward to your May wedding and helping you on the big day! And one of the few reasonably priced mountain venues left in Colorado. I ended up having a beautiful wedding, but I am very disappointed in their communication and service. They seem to be blissfully unaware that they breached a contract and that we have legal recourse if we choose. She is super responsive to emails, listens closely to what you want and makes things happen. Ashley made the walk through, the rehearsal and the wedding day feel like a breeze. It was a lovely wedding and an honor to help with. Well, not one thing went wrong and if it did, I didn't hear about it. I put 4 stars for value only because they don't have to set anything up but chairs and tables, and have a coordinator there all day so I thought it could have been a little cheaper.

We asked for a new one but it never came. The night of my wedding instead of enjoying my reception, they had my dad picking up every last petal and threatened to take my deposit because of the petals. The staff at Stone Mountain Lodge was always accommodating and helpful to us throughout the process and also to our guests during their stay at the cabins, almost a month after the event our guests still speak fondly of the staff. When we met to decide on the layout and linen colors she saw We loved everything about your day and thank you and Kenny for hosting your reception with us. I preferred to deal with email but we never had a problem getting them on the phone if we needed to (because we looked up and wrote down their hours). They were not cooperative and tried to CHARGE us to use the grassy park area for our rehearsal. We loved every minute of our special day and are so excited to come back soon to stay on the property and reminisce. The general manager, who told me after the wedding that she was in the office until 4:30 that day, never came out to remedy the situation.
